Fırtına Kıral is a composer, sound designer and drummer based in the Netherlands who merges minimalist and contemplative elements to compose music for solo, chamber and orchestral settings that focuses on creating tranquil worlds and telling a story. With influences from various musical genres and being deeply inspired by aesthetic philosophies such as minimalism, negative space and asymmetry, he explores the subtle interplay between structure and spontaneity, aiming to craft immersive experiences that evoke introspection and depth. He currently holds a MA in composition and jazz studies from Royal Conservatoire Den Haag and BA in composition and sound technologies from Istanbul Bilgi University. In addition to his chamber and large ensemble works, he also composes and produces for films, multidisciplinary works and media.
