Umut Fırtına Kıral is a Turkish composer, drummer and sound artist based in the Netherlands. His work merges minimalist and contemplative elements with influences from contemporary classical, electroacoustic and improvised music. Deeply inspired by aesthetic philosophies such as minimalism, negative space and asymmetry, he explores the subtle interplay between structure and spontaneity, aiming to craft immersive experiences that evoke introspection and depth, mainly for media projects, visuals and various mediums. He currently holds a MA in composition from Royal Conservatoire Den Haag and BA in composition and sound technologies from Istanbul Bilgi University.
